About the staff:

 

Susie Dix Jividen received her bachelors degree from the Ohio State University in 1985. She has practiced pediatric Occupational Therapy since graduation in a variety of settings including Dayton and Cincinnati Children's Hospitals, nursing care agencies, school settings and private practice.  Susie received her training in pediatric neurodevelopmental treatment in 1995.   Her interest include infant development, hand skills (casting and splinting), oral-motor and feeding challenges, and sensory dysfunction.

 

" I have always had a vision of opening a pediatric clinic,  and I knew the right time would come.  As I waited patiently, I  continued to practice in the private setting while raising two wonderful boys.  I am very excited that the time is here!  In addition to OT, PT, speech and language therapies, we have the pleasure of offering Sensory Learning as part of our services - this has given new hope to many families and individuals with sensory issues.  My hope and prayer is that we can offer families information and services that can help change their lives."

Shannon Zimmerman - Speech Language Pathologist
We would like to thank Shannon for joining our staff in June 2006. Shannon resides in Cincinnati with her husband and dog. Shannon is a graduate of Miami University where she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in 2004. Her experience includes school based therapies, ABA therapies and home based therapy. Shannon received her formal training in ABA in 2000 which has been a valuable addition to her services here at Therapy Learning Center. She received her PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) in 2003. Shannon a provides individual and group speech and language services for a number of diagnosis at the clinic.

 

Dawn Hounshell - Office Manager/LPN
We would like to welcome Dawn to our staff. She joined us in June 2006. Dawn resides in Monroe with her husband, two children, and one on the way! Congratulations Dawn.
Dawn received her LPN license from Butler County School of Practical Nursing in 2000.
Her training includes adult and pediatric developmental disabilities and geriatric care. She also comes to us with 12+ years experience in office management.
Dawn is currently managing our office needs and has completed her training here as a Sensory Learning Assistant.

 

Suzanne Halstead - Speech Language Pathologist
Suzanne Halstead joined us in the fall of 2005. She has been very helpful in meeting the needs at the clinic and providing summer camp services in conjunction with Occupational Therapy.
Suzanne received her undergraduate and graduate degree from Miami University in 1998. Her experience includes school-based and home based therapies.
Suzanne resides in West Chester with her husband and daughter.

 

Jennifer Stuart - Occupational Therapy Assistant
Jennifer Stuart comes to us from Cincinnati where she resides with her husband and two small children. She completed her assistant degree in 2001 at Cincinnati State. She began training in home based and school services with Susie in 2002. Jenn has been vital in providing school based services, home based services and individual therapies at the clinic.

 

Megan Balterman - Occupational Therapy Assistant
Megan comes to us from Cincinnati. Megan works limited part time in our home-based program. Megan received her assistant degree from Cincinnati State in 2001. Megan’s experience includes adult care along with pediatrics. She has been working with Therapy Learning Center since 2003.
